291. HAIL CHELSEA, THE NEW EPL CHAMPION

It was a long season. It was a tough season. There were ups and downs. Chelsea and Manchester United fought tooth and nails until the final match yesterday.

On the day when they were summoned to gave their every ounce of sweat, the Chelsea players gave everything heroically and triumphed. Such was the velocity and intensity of their performance that Wigan was practically trampled. The 8-0 score was the highest score recorded during this season and CHELSEA walked out as the worthy champion. What happened at OLD TRAFFORD last night, even beating Stoke City by 4-0, was already academic.

Didier Drogba even bagged the golden boot with a fantastic hattrick, his third of the season.

Man United can take heart that many of the team players are still young and Sir Alex Ferguson can surely rebuild the team around these players of calibre to mount another stiff challenge next season.

All in all it was another great season. Barclays EPL is still the best league in the world. We, the supporters enjoyed the games thoroughly.

TO ALL THE CHELSEA PLAYERS, MANAGEMENT, STAFF AND SUPPORTERS, WE OFFER HEARTIEST CONGRATULATIONS ON THIS SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT.

CHELSEA DESERVED TO BE A TRUE CHAMPION. SAVIOUR THIS BEAUTIFUL MOMENT BECAUSE NEXT YEAR MANCHESTER UNITED IS COMING BACK STRONGER TO RECLAIM THE TITLE.

As much as I don't like Chelski (oops), respect have to be given to them. Well done. As for Man United, we know we had that very chance to kill the chase but we failed. But on the other hand we must somehow pat ourselves as we had almost the whole defensive line-up down for a while and still managed to go second with only a single point behind. Well done Man United. We will be stronger next season!

What say you Sir?

-A 'Glory Glory Man United' since '80s.

Dear Rich,

Though it pained to watch the final games as true supporters, we must be gracious in defeat.

With reinforcement in central midfield and upfront to back up Rooney, Man United will be back as champion again next season.

In the meantime just let the players have their long overdue rest.

Give Sir Alex Ferguson time to carefully plan his team.

My trust in Man United has not wavered even when the team was languishing in the Old 2nd Division back in 1974-75. Used to attend live matches when I was staying in London then.

Respect overdue for a humble Man United fan like you sir.

As for me I have only watched Man United once (with Gordon McQueen in the squad if I recall clearly) when in my teens and that was when they played against Sabah FA (James Wong/ Hassan Sani/Peter Rajah era) and the impression was so strong I ditched Liverpool as a fan. With no regrets until today.

Enjoy your posts on watches too.
Love to own one vintage Omega in the future.

Looking forward for your posts.

Hi Rich,

Those were the days when we enjoyed watching Malaysian soccer. The Sabah trio of James Wong, Hassan Sani and Peter Rajah, were just fantastic.

Tq for your frequent visits to this blog.
