Was choking with joy and happiness at Fatin's achievement in completing her first degree despite the heavy odds she has to face. Decided to adjourn to another day.....
As our car strolled past the entrance to the International Islamic University campus, I felt blood rushing to the face, with a silent prayer in my heart and choking with emotions. The marvellous university campus looked greener and could not be more magnificent.
I made time yesterday to accompany my daughter, Fatin, to UIA, just like three and half years ago when she first reported for registration as an undergraduate.
She was there yesterday to settle her accounts and to secure clearance from various offices at the university in preparation for her convocation due in October this year.
The day she broke news on getting an offer to study in UIA was still fresh in my mind. Both my wife and I were pleasantly surprised then.
Though I always know she is a smart girl, her school results were at times rather a let down. She could be a little playful sometimes, missing out on school works and school co-curriculum activities.
How time has passed by...
Three and the half years of trials and tribulations, of toils and smart work, of laughter and tears, of standing up to her rights, Alhamdulillah, she sailed through with flying colours.
As a father I always make time and have time for my kids. Like all parents, nothing gives us more satisfaction and joy than to see our kids succeed.
I thought the varsity departmental staffs were pretty efficient yesterday. Within two hours, we managed to secure five departmental clearances including financial, missing out on only one final department.
To the International Islamic University, the teaching faculty and management staff, thank you all.
May Allah bestow good health and blissful life to every single person that have contributed to our daughter's success from kindergarten, primary and secondary schools right up to the university.
To Fatin, Thank you for presenting me with special moments in my life.
You have done us proud. Ayah,Ibu, Abang, Angah and Adik wish you all the best in your future endeavour.
WE LOVE YOU...ALWAYS

Tahniah atas kejayaan anak Dato'.
